I’ve been working overnights this week, so finding sleep (let alone time to draw a comic) has been a little challenging. If you are new to the comic, a little background on me: I work as a photojournalist for a local news station in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Luckily, it’s been a slow news week, and I found time to draw this week’s comic between live shots early Thursday morning. We were camped out in front of Tulsa’s Education Service Center for 2 1/2 hours, where my reporter was talking about a proposal by the school system to change start times and bus routes for next school year (it’s not getting much public support).
Anyway, my streak of overnights is over for this week, and I have the next 4 days off. Hopefully, that will give me some time to draw out another few La Vida Skeeter comics. In the meantime…

Smooth Move
1 oz. Rum
2 oz. Pineapple Juice
2 oz. Prune Juice
2 oz. Sour Mix
Put everything in a blender with a scoop of ice & blend it. Pour into a
sugar-rimmed parfait glass & garnish with a pineapple spear & cherry.
Schmoooooooove!
