♣ Beannachtam na Feile Padraig! ♣(Happy St. Patrick’s Day!)
Today is Day 2 of St. Pat’s Week here at La Vida Skeeter, and I hope you’re enjoying the comic! A few years ago, a good friend and I roadtripped up to Chicago for St. Patty’s (that’s a little bit of a haul from Oklahoma City). We pub crawled around Wrigleyville and saw where the river had been dyed green the previous weekend. A wee bit o’ fun, it was!
A photo of us with a leprechaun at Peg Leg Sullivan's!
This year: the plans are not as elaborate. I’ll probably hit up Kilkenny’s here in Tulsa for a Guinness or car bomb, then come home and post Wednesday’s comic. I maaay squeeze some frisbee golf in there somewhere (not Irish, but fun). At any rate, there’s always time for a limerick during St. Pat’s, and here’s mine:
There once was a comic about skeeters
who thirsted not for blood, but readers!
With this goal as its end,
I hope you tell a friend
to come check out this comic of bleeders.
Okay, so I should stick to my day job. Anyway, with 3 days of St. Pat’s-themed comics left to post this week, it’d be fun to put up some limericks from readers! If you have one, send it to lee (at) lavidaskeeter (dot) com or hit me up on twitter (@leecarter77) for a chance to have yours posted here!
See ya back here tomorrow & here: have a drink:
Green Beer
12 oz. of beer (the lighter the color, the more the green will show)
1 drop of green food coloring
Do you really need instructions for this one? In fact, if you’re even considering making this drink, you should click the “previous comic” arrow, scroll down to yesterday’s blog, and make yourself a real drink. On St. Pat’s, it’s Guinness or Irish whiskey, my friends. Green beer is “th’ “divil.”
Sláinte (cheers),
Lee
