I think there was some big comic thing that went on this past week. Um…oh yeah! San Diego Comic Con! I was not there, but I had a few friends that were. Highlights of my non-trip to Comic Con were: my friend Hilton bringing me a sweet sketch from Jeph Jacques, the artist behind my favorite webcomic Questionable Content. Actually, reading his comic inspired me to start my own. It’s still the only strip that I read DAILY. I check in on a lot of others frequently, but QC gets a daily visit from me (and I’m pretty sure from Hilton, too). The other part of my vicarious vacation that I thought was really cool was that my friend Arthur donned a homeless Batman outfit & hit Comic Con hard, so much so that his pic was featured in the Huffington Post, USA Today’s Pop Candy blog & Topless Robot to name a few. The week before, we wore luchador masks to Monday Night RAW here in Tulsa & managed to be on live tv most of the night. Arthur, your geek star power is rising! So, Comic Con held highlights for someone who wasn’t even there. Maybe next year?
You know the drill around here. It’s Friday! Here, have a drink & an awesome weekend:
Three Miller Cocktail
1 1/2 oz. Light Rum
3/4 oz. Brandy
1 tsp. Grenadine
1/4 tsp. Lemon Juice
Shake with ice & strain into cocktail glass. Do not add High Life : )
Cheers,
Lee
Hello and welcome to ‘La Vida Skeeter’, a webcomic about some thirsty mosquitoes at “the bar.” It’s the result of someone who was feeling a creative void in his dayjob (this guy) & wanted to do some more sketching (a hobby I grew up with, but mostly abandoned when I started college & entered the workforce). Reclaiming fun, plugging into a creative outlet & (with any luck) entertaining you are my goals here.

Updating on Fridays, I hope ‘La Vida Skeeter’ tickles your funny bone & speeds up the countdown to your weekend!
Cheers,
Lee
